Camden Training Hub

Camden Training Hub (formerly known as Camden Community Education Provider Network CEPN) has been established as a network of health and care organisations in 2014. Since April 2022, it has been delivered by the Camden Training Hub Partnership established by Camden Health Partners ltd, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of CHP and Community Matters. We are partner members of the NCL Training Hub.

The remit of Camden Training Hub is to deliver workforce development and support workforce planning, with a particular focus on primary care. This involves delivery of education and training activities, as well as management of special projects that respond to workforce related needs and demands. Camden Training Hub also organises and hosts the Team Camden Engagement Event, a monthly online meeting to update the workforce on new developments, since April 2022.

The Training Hub programmes and projects are delivered by a team, which is led by Dr Sarah Morgan as the clinical lead, and by Murat Ozcelik as the managerial lead. What Camden Training Hub delivers, and how these are aligned with regional and local priorities is overseen by the Camden Training Hub Management Board.

The board sets the direction of travel for the Camden Training Hub, oversees the various projects it delivers and how these perform. It has the overarching responsibility to ensure that all Training Hub activities align with national, regional and local priorities, but also respond to the needs of Camden practices and PCNs.

Community Matters has been established in 2010 to provide workforce development and workforce planning support to organisations. Working with Health Education England, Community Matters has managed establishment of a number of training hubs in London. They programme managed the workforce workstream of the NCL Sustainability and Transformation Partnership, and set up and managed the pilot Nursing Associate Apprenticeship. In addition to their role in programme managing Training Hubs and providing workforce support to various organisations, Community Matters is also an approved apprenticeship provider. Community Matters has recently established a separate not-for profit company called CM Training Hub Ltd. for the delivery of training hub related projects.
